Host Your Birthday Party at AKP !
We are pleased to offer our facility for rental on the weekends for birthday parties and special events. We feature an open gym and a backyard play space filled with a climbing structure, ball pit, swings, riding toys and much more.
We charge $475 ($425 for children enrolled in our programs) to rent our facility for a 2 hour party with up to 20 children.
You may arrive up to a half hour prior to your party to set up and, when the party is done, we will help you pack up and take care of the cleaning. You may book extra time and/or have more children for an additional charge.
Please email Regina at birthdays@akidsplacela.com for more information.

Our School Community
AKP is a community where families are welcomed and supported and where children and parents make connections with one another that often last beyond their preschool days. You can help augment our programs by participating in our parent education series, school activities, fundraisers for scholarships and school development, potluck dinners, field trips and more.
The Parent Action Committee (PAC) plays a vital role in planning many of these special events. PAC is a parent volunteer group dedicated to supporting community building with AKP families, offering activities and events, teacher appreciation, and raising money for the school. The events and items PAC has been responsible for in the past include the Mar Vista Artwalk, Make It Mar Vista, Teacher Appreciation Week, Parent Talks, Coffee Talks, Fundraising, Parent Outings, Family Outings, Graduation and Yearbook.
Why we Fundraise?
A Kid’s Place is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation which means that all funds generated from the operation of AKP are retained by the corporation and are used solely for the operation of our programs and the furtherance of the educational objectives for which AKP was founded.
Susie and Amanda do not own A Kid’s Place. Like all of our teachers, they receive a salary, but any additional monies that come in are invested in the school.
Organizational activities and major administrative decisions are overseen by our Board of Directors, made up of parents, staff and, occasionally, alumni. The fact that we are non-profit means that contributions and other gifts to AKP are fully deductible under applicable state and federal income tax laws.
